The Great Koonaklaster Speaks A John Fahey Celebration

The Great Koonaklaster Speaks
A John Fahey Celebration

A tribute to the legendary John Fahey that Fahey himself would of approved of. 11 artists take inspiration from the great man and head of in their own directions with selections that span the likes of Jack Rose's powerful 'Since I've been a Man Full Grown', Greg Malcolm combining delicate strings with a thick wall of machine guitar noise, Sir Richard Bishop's psych-drone, Badgerlore with Rob Fisk and Ben Chasny's gentle improv, Michael Hurley forsaking the guitar entirely to deliver a sweet lil' piano blues (sure to have made Fahey smile), No Neck Blues Band's communal free-form, David Daniell melding intricate picking with a joyful blast of extreme racket and more. Great fun all round.
