The Futuristic Sounds Of Sun Ra

'Space jazz reverie' is right. A seven-piece recorded by Tom Wilson for Savoy in 1961. Ra on piano; lots of great tunes. New Day is classic Arkestra bass, cymbals, hand percussion and Gilmore's bass clarinet.

The last seven listed are exclusive to the Lonehill CD the last music the band recorded in Chicago before moving to NYC in 1961, with Marshall Allen playing an instrument called the flying saucer.
